With a distinguished career in finance at Chettinad Cement Corporation Limited, Sowmya Simhan chose a new path, leveraging her three decade-long expertise in social work. A polio survivor, she established Sukriti Social Foundation in 2006. Her contributions have earned her accolades, such as the D-30 Impact List 2023 by Diversability, USA, and the Women Achiever Award from First Copy Productions in 2017. An active member of the Lions Club of Chennai Silver Pearls for over 25 years, she’s involved with multiple educational and senior citizen-focused organizations.
Sowmya Simhan
Embodying philanthropy and a deep commitment to community service, Rajalakshmi Ramakrishnan is an integral part of the Lions Club of Chennai Silver Pearls. With a rich background in Sanskrit and Veena, she brings a unique blend of cultural appreciation and compassion to Sukriti. Her involvement spans various voluntary organizations focused on elderly care and disability.
Rajalakshmi Ramakrishnan
A rural management graduate from IRMA and an adept copywriter in advertising and marketing, Swami’s journey is rooted in uplifting marginalized communities in ALC India LTD. (Access Livelihoods Consulting), a Hyderabad-based company.
His association with Sukriti dates back to 2009, contributing to its endeavors for social upliftment. Currently an independent consultant, his expertise amplifies the Foundation’s impact.
S. Swaminathan (Swami)
Armed with extensive experience in the development sector with international NGOs and a background in Communications, Vijee brings a global perspective to Sukriti. Her commitment to the welfare of the underprivileged extends beyond her role as a visiting faculty in French at Chennai Colleges. Her transition to board membership in 2023 marks a new chapter in her longstanding relationship with Sukriti as a donor and a champion.
