With a distinguished career in finance at Chettinad Cement Corporation Limited, Sowmya Simhan chose a new path, leveraging her three decade-long expertise in social work. As a polio survivor,
she laid the Foundation of Sukriti Social Foundation in 2006. Her contributions have earned her accolades, such as the D-30 Impact List 2023 by Diversability,
USA, and the Women Achiever Award from First Copy Productions in 2017. An active member of the Lions Club of Chennai Silver Pearls for over 25 years, she’s involved with multiple educational and senior citizen-focused organizations.
Sukriti Social Foundation , is a pioneering organization established in 2006 to work for children and adults challenged by physical disabilities while championing social and economic inclusion.
