Anubhouti: January 2009

Dear all,

Wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2009.

An year has gone by and we are all looking forward to the new year with hope and anticipation. When we look back, we do have a great sense of fulfillment. With all your support, we have been able to continue with our work concentrating more on activities which do not involve huge budgets.

At the same time, when we look forward to 2009, we also have a sense of apprehension. With slowing down of the economy and the global meltdown, it is the voluntary sector that is the worst affected. For small organisations like Sukriti, with a small donor base it is a lot lot more difficult. We will however not let this dampen our spirit. We invoke the blessings of the Supreme and with renewed energy welcome 2009 and hope that the new year would bring a lot of cheer, joy and happiness to all.

We have quite a few updates for you in this newsletter.

With warm regards,
Sowmya Simhan
