The world disability day aws celebrated in a grand manner on 6th December 2008 at Meenakshi College for Women. PMJF.Ln. The event started with a entertainment program by Youth Red Cross volunteers from Queen Mary's College. Members from Andhra Mahila Sabha, Indian Red Cross Society,Life Help Centre, Sri Arunodayam, Kalanjiam Trust and Worth Trust attended the program.
The E-Employment register was also launched.Special Guest Padmashri Dr Gayatri Sankaran addressing the gathering
Aids and appliances for Rs 77000 were distributed to the disabled.
